When the once-proud leader of the Zhu Kingdom chokes to death at the hands of a notorious world leader, Pipsqueak is summoned by a hamster from the other side of the kingdom, named Laria, to save her kind - brown hamsters - from becoming extinct. Pipsqueak, Chunk, Num Num and Mr Squiggles join forces with Laria to stop wars and protests that have broken out in the kingdom between hamsters of colour and hamsters that are just coloured brown.
Pipsqueak later finds out that the violent protests are the result of many coloured hamsters calling their brown hamster leader 'racist' and that he 'painted his fur brown to act like an imposter', and that the key behind this protest is a red jewel which inflicts violence all across the kingdom. The hamsters must race against time to destroy the jewel and restore peace, justice and diversity to the valley before war destroys it.
