One of Goku's favourite things to do while watching DBZ with his friend Matthew is enjoy peanut butter on toast. So crunchy! So delectable! So yummy! Unfortunately, due to where he came from, Goku only enjoyed Japanese food like noodles, so it was no surprise from the moment he became Matthew's roommate that he tried peanut butter on toast for the first time. From this moment on, it became his favourite food from abroad.
What Goku likes to do on weekend mornings every morning when Matthew isn't at school is sit at the kitchen counter reading comics and listening to Bowling For Soup while eating jam and cheese on toast, or peanut butter on toast, while Matthew and his mum and dad have a lie in. Other things that Goku and Matthew like to do is go to the beach and play volleyball, engage in friendly arguments over who did what better such as going Super Saiyan or decorating a notebook full of ideas or play at being loud tribesmen from the Aboriginal lands. What Goku likes to do with Matthew on Monday afternoons is pretend to train him to become a Saiyan - unfortunately, Matthew yells so loud he is sometimes sent to his room. Goku feels sorry for Matthew and goes up to talk with him, saying his life in his original world may be loud, but there's a time to be quiet too.
Yes, Goku and Matthew make the best of friends. No matter what, a Saiyan will always be there to protect a young boy - with a monkey's tail attached!
